The PWTN is an eccentric contemporary grill restaurant set in the historic bluestone building once known as the Royal Highlander Hotel (1878-1962) and formerly the Peter Lalor Hotel (1962-2014) at the corner of Mair and Doveton Street in central Ballarat. Our aim is to source and present high quality produce meat and wines. In an art-filled space where the emotions are playing the main role. The iconic stables have been transformed, maintaining the original structure and shape in a stunning event space.
The Building Owners: David and Yuge Bromley of Bromley & Co, a creative art and design studio located in central Ballarat. Through their creative process, The Pub With Two Names has been transformed into a modern dining experience that delights all sensors.
The Business Owners: Donatello Pietrantuono and Iain Gunn join the team from both Carboni’s Italian Kitchen and Convivium Food Experience. Donatello Pietrantuono came to the region 3 years ago and is recognised as a leader in the local food industry.
Creating a relaxed dining where locals and visitors alike can feel transported to an eccentric place within the heart of Ballarat.
The main Pub area is fitted out as a 100-seat dining and drinking spot.
In this uniquely art centric space, we are collaborating with a highly experienced food and beverage team.
Located on the Mair Street and Doveton Street corner opposite the revamped Civic Hall and near the Ballarat Station Precinct redevelopment, we are at the heart of exciting change in the city and see the venture as a great opportunity, one which deserves to be brought to life.
